We’re excited to announce that we are now open for in store shopping. We’ve been hard at work putting measures in place to ensure that the store is a safe environment for our customers and team. Like always, your health and happiness is our top priority. As excited as we are, we want to make sure that everyone understands the guidelines for shopping with us which are for your safety and the safety of others. 

 

To Shop With Us You Must:

  • Show a valid ID.
  • Wear your face covering at all times.
  • Remain 6 feet apart from other customers and our team.
  • Minimize interaction if you find yourself less than six feet apart.
  • Do not engage in unnecessary social and physical interaction.
  • Not exhibit symptoms indicating you might be sick.
  • Sneeze or cough into your arm if necessary.
  • Sanitize before entering and exiting the sales floor.
  • Minimize touching products on the sales floor.
  • We’d appreciate you keeping your time spent in the store to ten minutes.

 

Additional Details

  • The largest group size we can allow on the sales floor together is two.
  • Baskets are encouraged to shop with and will be sanitized between customers.

 

What We’re Doing

  • Our team has been asked to wear a mask at all times.
  • Regular sanitation breaks throughout the day to clean all high traffic areas.
  • We are Sonoma Safe Certified! We have committed to meeting or exceeding requirements of the Business Mitigation Practices put into place by the County of Sonoma to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Dear Solful Community:

As mentioned earlier today, we are reconnecting with you to update you on our thinking and operational plans.  We used the day today to pause and digest the steady flow of guidance and mandates from public health and government authorities so that we could devise thoughtful and health-safe plans for you and our team to provide you with the cannabis products that you depend on and enjoy.  

Late this afternoon Sonoma County officials issued a public announcement, the headline being a “Shelter-in-Place” order similar to yesterday’s announcements in San Francisco and several other Bay Area Counties.  Specifically, the Sonoma County order addressed cannabis dispensaries by stating: “Licensed cannabis retail facilities/dispensaries shall operate only for the purpose of providing medical cannabis, and only via curbside pick-up or delivery”.  We were anticipating such an announcement and decided to err on the side of caution by being proactive and closing for the day today. Since most people no longer have medical cannabis cards, we will depend on you to self-identify as using cannabis as medicine.

Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18, and subject to further guidance and official mandates in the days ahead, we are providing our services by offering the ability to place online orders for Curbside Pickup at Solful.  Our team members will greet you in your vehicle in the parking lot and bring your order to you. We are still figuring out some of the logistics so we may not be as perfect at delivering this service as we want to and will be with more experience.  Also, since we pride ourselves on listening closely to your needs and goals for cannabis products, we are going to be a little more “transactional” than usual in order to keep the lines moving and respect your valuable time.

Our hours of operation tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18, will be from 12 noon to 6pm.  We look forward to seeing you and doing our small part to help you through these unprecedented and challenging times.

  • Please wait to come to Solful until you receive a text stating that your order is ready with parking instructions.
  • At this time we will only be accepting cash payments.
  • For your safety, and the safety of others, we ask that you remain in your vehicle.
  • We are currently unable to accept product exchanges at this time.
  • Please prepare for your pickup to be transactional as our team has been instructed to observe social distancing guidance.

NOTIFICATION OF TEMPORARY CLOSURE: 03/17/2020

UPDATES TO FOLLOW  

Dear Solful Community Member:

Since our inception, Solful has been committed to being a thoughtful and responsible member of our community, and we have taken this role very seriously.  We understand that many of you rely on cannabis for your health and we’ve always emphasized that priority. 

Right now our community has many concerns, some of which compete and challenge one another.  As community leaders, we feel that the most socially responsible thing to do is to temporarily close our doors, take time to assess this situation and work on developing alternative ways to be of service to all concerned.  As such, we will not open today and will issue an update on our status within the next 12-24 hours.

This decision was not made lightly.  We do not want to prevent our community from accessing the medicine it needs, but at this moment, it is simply the most responsible decision to make to protect everyone affected by this public health crisis.

While we pause operations to develop alternative service models, our plan is to find a way to safely provide access to cannabis again as soon as possible.  We are tracking and considering guidance from many different local, regional, state and federal agencies, and will continue to place everyone’s safety as the top priority as we work through our decision-making process.  As we navigate the best path forward during this time we hope for your patience and support. We realize that the decisions we make moving forward will be fluid, and we promise to keep communication open with you as decisions are made. 

In summary, when we opened our doors in 2017 we fell in love with the Sonoma County community, and we want this community to thrive. We will do everything within our power to continue our contributions to this amazing place we call home and promise that closing Solful is only a temporary solution. 

We’ve made it through many obstacles, from fires to floods, and have shown that, together, we are a highly resilient community.

Dear Solful Friends and Family,

To further limit social interaction we have implemented several changes to our in-store operations which we feel will help the community, our customers, and our team.

Online ordering is now available.

You can now pre-order your cannabis and pick it up at Solful. More information on our new pre-order system can be found here. 

 

Limited customers allowed at one time.

For the safety of our team and customers, we will now only allow 5 customers on the sales floor at a time. All other customers will be asked to wait outside. We appreciate your help with this!

Suspending in-store consultations and exchanges.

We will no longer be offering in-store consultations, and ask that you prepare to have your trip to Solful be transactional. We realize this will be a change for you, it will be for us too, as we know how important consultations with our Health and Happiness Consultants are to you. We are working on finding a way to allow you to safely connect directly with our team and will let you know once we have this in place.

We have always been proud of our exchange policy, finding the right product for you is part of our mission. However we will temporarily not be able to process exchanges, this is for the safety of our customers and team.

We are working hard to balance the importance of keeping cannabis accessible to those of you who rely on it to manage your health, anxiety, stress, and many other reasons while maintaining that your health and safety is our top priority.

We will be reducing our store hours to 12:00-6:00 to allow additional time for the cleaning and sanitation of our store. We are currently making adjustments to our store operations to help limit interactions and will update you once we have these new operational adjustments in place.

Dear Solful Friends and Family,

We understand this is a stressful time and want to ensure that your health and safety is our first priority.

We take pride in our clean store, and we know this is more important than ever right now. We are closely monitoring reports from the CDC which currently state that regular cleaning and hand washing are the most important preventive measures we can take to stop the spread of COVID-19. On top of our daily cleaning tasks, we’ve put additional measures in place.

  • More time will be spent cleaning high traffic areas throughout our store, including surfaces such as our doorknobs, check-in desk, ATM, lobby tables, and cash registers. 
  • Hand sanitizer is available at check-in and everyone who enters the store is welcome to use it. 
  • We will be temporarily removing the beverage and cannabis-free sample station in our lobby.
  • We will be using our flower smell jars and extract samples for viewing only to limit the possibility of germs being transferred.
  • Our team has been instructed to stay home should they exhibit flu-like symptoms and we have adjusted our paid sick time policy to ensure that they are able to do so without a financial burden.

We realize that many people turn to cannabis products for medicinal purposes and may be visiting us with compromised immune systems; please know we are taking this very seriously. Many of you rely on cannabis to maintain your health and happiness, help manage stress and anxiety, and we will continue working hard to keep it accessible to you while providing the high level of customer service you have come to expect from Solful. We are committed to keeping Solful customers and team members safe and well-informed, and we will continue doing everything we can to help minimize the spread of COVID-19.
