Fri 6/24 @ 10 AM – This presentation is for seniors who are curious about cannabis and how they might use it to better their lives. Seniors new to cannabis or experienced users, friends and relatives of seniors, as well as caretakers and practitioners, all, will find much useful information in this interactive talk. The discussion will address concerns that seniors may have about cannabis use with an interactive Q and A to help enable seniors to better decide if they want to try using cannabis for the many challenges of aging.
Sat 6/25 @ 10 AM – Cannabis is a unique remedy that can bring the system back into balance. Based on current research, cannabis therapies may provide benefits for people suffering from autoimmune disease in three basic ways: modulating the immune system, decreasing general inflammation, and helping to assist the digestive system. Harry will speak to and take questions about his autoimmune journey and how his experience might help you or your loved ones. This session will be an hour with 30 minutes of presentation and 30 minutes of interactive Q&A.
Sat 6/25 @ 2 PM – Chronic pain, such as inflammatory or neuropathic pain, represents a complicated condition that not only diminishes quality of life but also comes at great economic cost. Chronic pain is the most commonly cited reason for using medical cannabis. Currently, individuals with chronic arthritic and musculoskeletal pain are reported to be among the most prevalent users of therapeutic cannabis products. Harry will describe how the body’s endocannabinoid system helps modulate the body’s desire to stay balanced and stable, known as homeostasis, and plays an important role in neuronal and immune cell function, both of which are important parts of pain perception. This session will be an hour with 30 minutes of presentation and 30 minutes of interactive Q&A.
Sun 6/26 @ 11 AM – Restful sleep is essential for maintaining our mental and physical health, yet it eludes many adults. According to the American Sleep Association 50 to 70 million U.S. adults experience symptoms of a sleep disorder. Around 40 million Americans experience insomnia every year and about 10 to 15 percent of adults will deal with chronic insomnia. Whether you have a sleep disorder or you’re having difficulty sleeping after a stressful day, Harry will discuss how cannabis may bring relief. This session will be an hour with 30 minutes of presentation and 30 minutes of interactive Q&A.
